What Are Quilters Blogging About Today?

I started this project file with the intention of using blocks from the Electric Quilt Library without making any modifications. Up until this design I stuck to my original intention, but now things have started to change.

In the second design I have blacked out 4 squares in four blocks, and from now on I will be making changes!

Today’s designs look rather old fashioned, but they also look warm and comfortable.

The blocks are from the Electric Quilt block library, but with some modifications.

I am sometimes surprised that I have spent so much time making quilts that I like the look of to put on a bed, and then we spend most of the time in the bedroom in the dark with eyes closed. However, I love seeing a crumpled quilt on a bed which has kept somebody warm and comfortable overnight, and enjoy making the bed a lot more if there is a real quilt ...

It has been a busy month, and it seems to be getting busier, so I hope you have time to play with this months challenge.

First, select two or three pieced blocks and one or two applique blocks from the Electric Quilt libraries.

Then start adding them to straight quilt settings, starting with 5 x 5 blocks.

Then add your choice of fabrics from the Electric Quilt fabric library.I find it easier to select fabrics with the blocks in a quilt setting, rather than trying to do it to the individual blocks.
